RETURN TO CONTACT COACHING
Now that we've been back at training for 6+ weeks, we are allowed to permit some limited coach:gymnast contact during training sessions, i.e. coaches can physically support gymnasts (for their safety) when learning new skills.
Practically, this might mean that coaches will be on the trampoline supporting gymnasts with a support belt, or particularly on DMT, coaches might stand close to the DMT in order to make sure the gymnast lands safely/stays on the DMT when learning certain skills.
Coach:Gymnast contact will be kept to a minimum and only used where it is necessary for safety purposes. All coaches will wear face coverings (as we already do throughout the session) and will make sure to sanitise their hands and any support belts, before supporting gymnasts.
Before we can permit coaches to manually support gymnasts, there are a few steps we need everyone to follow:-
1 - OPT IN AGREEMENT

If you / your gymnast is happy for contact coaching to resume, we need you to fill in the opt-in agreement. This ONLY needs to be filled in ONCE.
There is no obligation to opt in - we understand there may be some people who don't feel comfortable with the potentially increased risk of close contact, which is of course absolutely fine. Gymnasts will still be able to take part in sessions, even if they don't opt in to coach support, but it may mean that your gymnast is unable to progress on to more difficult skills, in order to keep them safe.
2 - COVID SELF SCREENING SURVEY

We do not expect coaches to use manual support during every session (although more likely during DMT sessions, given the nature of the sport and skills performed).
We are required to plan in advance which gymnasts will require manual support during each session, so we can make you aware and ask you to complete the self-screening survey. We will tell you in advance of a session, if we anticipate your gymnast requiring coach support during that session, so you know you need to complete the screening survey.
The survey MUST be completed NO MORE THAN 2 HOURS prior to each training session, if manual support is scheduled for your gymnast.
